What a fabulous day at Maggie's Silver Clay class. So many choices when trying to decide! Great fun and absolutely delighted with my necklace and charms. Maggie is amazing and so patient and helpful, just perfect. I will be checking out other classes. Thanks Maggie. Xx
Booked a silversmithing course with the family as a present to my dad - figured it would let him make his own present and be more memorable than buying something direct. Had a lovely time and learned a lot, plus got to make my own ring (shown in the photo). Maggie was very welcoming and hospitable, the studio was light and well laid out. It was especially fun to talk about and use the specialist jewellery making equipment! Highly recommended, a great time was had by all.
Had a great day at Maggie's first silver metal clay taster , such fun and everyone came out with lovely jewellery and all very different. Can't wait to go back . Maggie your a star and so patient

I just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you so much for the workshop on Tuesday, I really enjoyed it and absolutely love my ring! I can’t believe how absorbing the day was…. it was so rewarding to have something so beautiful to take home from the day.
Throughly enjoyed my day with Maggie where she demonstrated her skills and helped us to make our own little masterpieces. There were four of us in the class which was perfect. I had such fun I came home & signed up for another class.
We had an amaaaazing time with Maggie! It’s a beautiful studio/workshop and Maggie does so much to make sure the whole jewellery making experience is special, interesting and lots of fun! It’s relaxed, friendly and you get to make something amaaazing, just how you want it…& when people say “what pretty rings you’re wearing!” You can beam with pride and say “thank you…I made them myself!!” Yipppeeeee!!!!
I made three beautiful silver bangles, which have been much admired ! It was a fantastic day. Maggie was patient and explained the process and helped where needed. The experience of creating my own bangles was brilliant. would recommend you give this a try.
Just done the stacking rings workshop. Superb experience - a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. The studio is lovely and Maggie is a very good instructor. We were all delighted with what we had made and I hope to book another workshop soon.
What an experience! Never imagined that as complete novices we could have achieved so much in just a few hours! Loved every minute and very proud of the silver rings we all made. Maggie's workshops are fabulous and you get to go home with a beautiful piece of jewellery! Very friendly, informative and fun. Maggie is a great teacher and guides you through all of the stages and techniques. I loved the workshop and would highly recommend to all.
Fab day with Maggie - she took time to explain and give options on how to do different aspects of silversmithing. Would highly recommend her courses if you are thinking of stepping off, or in my case returning after a bit of a gap.
Just spent a lovely few hours with Maggie Read Jewellery & Teaching Studio in our village, making a silver Spinner Ring, loved every minute of it and came home with a beautiful ring made all by myself! Maggie’s an excellent teacher so you can’t go wrong. The classes are Ideal as a special birthday or Xmas gift for someone. She also sells gift vouchers, and an amazing range of beautiful jewellery. Check out her website. Spinner ring is the band with 3 separate rings spinning around on it, the others in the photo are a set of 3 stacking rings I made in a previous class. Great way to spend a day!
This workshop was such an enjoyable way to spend a few hours, learning the basics of a new skill, with the bonus of having some gorgeous jewellery to take home at the end! The studio had a lovely atmosphere, was extremely well-equipped and Maggie was so welcoming and encouraging that she gave us confidence from the start. She explained the processes clearly as the workshop progressed and then allowed us to work at our pace, while providing further advice and support whenever required. The small number of participants allowed us lots of individual attention and by the end of the workshop, (after we had enjoyed delicious baking and coffee) we were all delighted with what we had achieved. Thank you Maggie!

Absolutely lovely class in a great, extremely well equipped studio. Maggie is a natural teacher who guides you seamlessly through the process and ensures everyone gets a good result.

Thoroughly enjoyed the beading class yesterday. Very relaxing and therapeutic. I’ve worn my three bracelets out to meet friends today, they really admired the colours and styles created. Another great class Maggie can’t wait for silver spinning rings on the 29th not just because of the cakes however they are worth coming for!
Loved every minute of this class. Lovely group of people, a great teacher, and so many beads to choose from!! We were like kids in a sweet shop. It’s so good to learn new skills and to come away with gorgeous jewellery that you’ve made yourself. Will be booking soon for another of Maggie’s classes, they’re addictive! Thanks again Maggie x
This was my third class and I really enjoyed it. Maggie is such a good teacher, very engaging and patient, explains and demonstrates all the stages of making the jewellery. I love my spinner ring and am looking forward to my next class
Definitely have a go at one of Maggie’s classes, even if you think you’re not ‘crafty’. Tuition is excellent, very relaxed and everyone will come away with something they will be proud of….you’ve made it yourself!

Had my first class today making three stacking silver rings, I am a complete novice and it was absolutely excellent ! All instructions clear, easy to follow. Maggie is very friendly and helpful, making the class a very pleasant experience. I made three lovely rings and am already booked in again.
This afternoon I did something different and throughly enjoyed it. I attended the silver stacking rings workshop at Maggie Read Jewellery & Teaching Studio. I would highly recommend it. It was such a lovely relaxed afternoon with delicious muffins and a cup of tea learning new skills. Maggie is a great teacher.
